In OOO "Kadino" Company of Mogilev District, the cabbage harvest is proceeding smoothly. The collected crop follows directly into the vegetable storage facilities, where all conditions have been created for its long-term and careful preservation.

"Cabbage occupies us on 15 hectares," says section head Tatiana Kostychenko. "We plan to finish the harvest by October 20. Part of the fields will be harvested with a tractor — where short varieties grow — about three hectares. I think we'll manage that soon."

The farm uses Dutch varieties. This year's cabbage is particularly good.

"The harvest is much better than last year," notes Tatiana Ivanovna. "We're going to make cabbage!"

Agricultural students from Kadinishche Secondary School, students from M.G.U. A.A. Kuleshova named after, as well as employees of educational institutions in the Oktyabrsky and Lenin districts of Mogilev city are helping farmers with the cabbage harvest.

Among those who came to help agricultural workers with the cabbage harvest are kindergarten staff Victoria Kovalyova and Taisia Boyko. With enthusiasm and smiles they work alongside others.

"Our educational institution always actively participates in the cabbage collection," says Victoria Alexandrovna. "It is important to help agricultural workers, because together we do one common task. Currently, there is being prepared for the harvest in the agricultural sector at the state farm fund. In essence, this means that during winter, fresh vegetables will be on the tables of our children, schoolchildren, hospital patients, and simply city residents — these are vitamins and health. We understand how important this is, so we gladly come to the fields and contribute our share."

She praises her helpers and the section head. She notes that those who come to the fields work with full dedication — carefully, diligently, and in good spirits.

"Very well done, guys," says Tatiana Kostychenko. "They arrive on time, don't slack off, and help from the heart. With such helpers, the job gets done."

Besides cabbage, the farm also grows beets, potatoes, cabbage, and onions. According to Tatiana Kostychenko, this year the area under cabbage was slightly reduced, but the harvest is pleasing. On the contrary, the amount of cabbage has increased by 5 hectares.

"This year, the cabbage and beet harvest is also pleasing," says the section head.

Tatiana Ivanovna has worked in agriculture for more than 30 years. Over these years she has gone from gardener to field worker, and recently has been leading the section. The experience accumulated over decades helps her not only organize work properly but also find an approach to each person.

People are different, but I find an approach for each of them," she smiles. "I'm already used to it, I work with pleasure. I know my job, I explain everything, I show everything.

According to her, the main thing in working with people is attention and patience. Someone comes to the field for the first time and doesn't know where to start; someone just needs a hint or a kind word of support. Tatyana Ivanovna is convinced: when a person feels that they are understood and guided, the work goes smoothly, and the result brings joy.

"I don't just explain; I try to make sure everyone understands why we are doing this," she says. "Then the attitude toward the work is different. After all, the harvest is our common effort, and it depends on each of us what it will be like.

Over the years of work, Tatyana Ivanovna has realized: agriculture does not tolerate indifference. Here everything matters — planting on time, caring properly, harvesting without loss. And the people nearby are the main support in this difficult but so important endeavor.

"I love my job," she admits. "And, probably, that's why everything works out."
