A regional subbotnik (voluntary community work day) was held in the Bragin District, bringing together labor collectives to prepare agricultural facilities for the upcoming cold weather.
Livestock farming was the primary focus of the work. Employees of the district executive committee's agriculture and food department, specialists from the district veterinary station, and workers of the district's agricultural enterprises tidied up livestock farms ahead of the winter housing period and repaired equipment.
Participants of the subbotnik also worked on the construction and arrangement of preventive facilities for calves. As noted by Maxim Bolshakov, First Deputy Chairman – Head of the Agriculture and Food Department of the District Executive Committee, the creation of proper conditions for keeping young livestock will help ensure a high level of their survival during the winter months.
