In Minsk, an official presentation of the new domestically built hybrid vehicle Forthing X5 EVO, produced at the facilities of SP JSC “UNISON,” took place. The model has been adapted for the Belarusian market, and the project foresees further deepening of technological localization.

Technical specifications and range

The main feature of the Forthing X5 EVO is its series‑hybrid configuration. Unlike standard combined systems, the vehicle’s wheels are driven solely by an electric motor (rear‑wheel drive), while the built‑in gasoline generator is used to recharge the traction battery with a capacity of 31.94 kWh.

Key range parameters:

• Total range (full tank + charged battery) – 1,150 km.
• Range on electric drive alone – up to 230 km.
• Body dimensions – 4,600 × 1,860 × 1,700 mm (wheelbase – 2,715 mm).
• The vehicle’s body is fully galvanized.

Comfort and digital solutions

The crossover offers a high level of interior equipment, available in two trim levels:

• A 15.6‑inch multimedia display.
• Driver and passenger seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
• Eight exterior color options.

Safety systems

The vehicle is equipped with a modern passive and active safety package, which includes:

• 8 airbags;
• lane‑keeping, traffic sign recognition, and blind‑spot monitoring systems;
• front and rear parking sensors;
• a 360‑degree camera with a “transparent chassis” feature.
