
In memory of the 90th anniversary of the birth of the well-known Soviet and Belarusian builder, native of Gomel Igor Nelyubin, a meeting was held, attended by his comrades, friends, colleagues, and relatives.
The memorial evening, held in the hall of the Gomel City History Museum, resembled more a friendly gathering, where many have known each other for many years and, of course, were glad to meet to, over a cup of tea, recall the indisputable merits of their comrade, thank him for his contribution to the common cause of building and developing the city.
The host of the evening, Yulia Kupreeva, head of the branch of the Gomel City History Museum, highlighted the main milestones of Igor Nelyubin's life and professional career, referring to carefully collected photographs and documents recounting his work path.
Having graduated from the Belarusian Institute of Railway Transport Engineers, Igor Nelyubin began his career in the modest position of construction foreman. His innate talent as a builder, managerial intuition, and remarkable work ethic paved his way to the top of his career. Everyone who came to the memorial meeting could share their memories of Igor Alexandrovich, say kind words about his character traits and deeds. Family members recalled him with extraordinary warmth. Inna Petrovskaya, his niece, says how Igor Nelyubin loved his kin, his large family.
