At a meeting of the Gomel City Executive Committee, the readiness of the municipal economy for the autumn-winter period was reviewed. This is reported by the Telegram channel "Gomel.Officially".

The preparation involves heat, electricity, and gas supply organizations, communal services, and road enterprises. Most of the key indicators have been fully met. Hydraulic tests were carried out on about 505 km of heating networks, with approximately 19 km replaced. Also, the indicators for creating reserves of backup fuel have been fully fulfilled.

Chairman of the Gomel City Executive Committee Ruslan Parkhamovich positively assessed the readiness of the municipal economy, while also instructing to accelerate the pace of equipment replacement and to minimize as much as possible the duration of repair work on heating networks, carrying it out during favorable periods.

Special attention has been given to the road network. In priority order, it is necessary to continue the repair and profiling of roads with crushed stone surfacing in the private sector. It is instructed to keep under control planned, earthworks, and emergency works that will be carried out in the winter period. After their completion, it is necessary to assess the quality of territory restoration so that any possible shortcomings can be timely eliminated in the summer period.

City services have also been instructed to pay attention to providing solid fuel for areas of individual residential construction. Taking into account the onset of the autumn-winter period, enterprises need to be assigned territories for subsequent maintenance. This work must be brought to the attention of each legal entity.

Ruslan Viktorovich instructed to find a balance between the development of individual housing construction and the construction of apartment buildings, taking into account the needs of district residents, including large families and citizens in need of improved housing conditions.

Also set the task of creating public sports grounds in courtyards according to the principle "sport for all" to engage children and teenagers in physical culture and sports activities.
