At a staff meeting in the regional executive committee chaired by the region's governor Ivan Krupko, the issue of providing social and living conditions for young specialists was considered. This is reported by the Telegram channel "Gomel Region Official".
This year, nearly 5,700 young specialists started work. Of these, 60% live with relatives, 19% were provided housing by their organizations, and 8% rent it themselves. For more than 4%, the employer compensates rental costs.
Young personnel are given assistance not only with housing but also with transport services. Mentors are assigned. Explanatory talks and consultations are held. A chatbot operates for feedback from young specialists.
One positive example of work with young people is the Otor farm in the Chechersk district, where additional payments to mentors are provided. The governor noted that this experience should be spread.
Ivan Krupko set the task: within a month, prepare a complete information base on creating proper conditions for young specialists. The goal for managers is common, and it must be clear to everyone: to ensure staff retention.
