In Gomel, work is underway to reconstruct the road network and widen the carriageway in the area of the public transport stop "Francysk Skaryna University".

As reported by Dmitry Mashkavenko, foreman of the road workers of GGD SRT, the main goal of the work is to increase the street's capacity and ensure road safety.

A specialized pull-in pocket will allow public transport to board and alight passengers outside the main traffic flow, without obstructing other road users. The stopping areas are being equipped on both sides of the road.

Specialist crews of GGD SRT and the necessary special equipment, including an excavator and MAZ trucks, are deployed on the site. Together with the road services, representatives of GorElektrotrans are also working on the object.

The project includes relocating the boarding area and laying new sidewalk pavement. They plan to complete the entire set of works under favorable weather conditions.
