In 2027, transport tax rates may increase. The changes will affect owners of passenger and cargo vehicles, motorcycles, trailers, and buses. The growth in rates is provided for in the draft amendments to the Tax Code published on the National Legal Internet Portal.

The size of the transport tax, as before, will depend on the permitted maximum weight of the vehicle. For a passenger car weighing up to 1.5 tons, it is proposed to pay 80 rubles. Currently, the amount is 75 rubles.

An increase in the rate is also provided for motorcycles and trailers. For a light trailer with a weight of up to 750 kg, it is proposed to pay 52 rubles instead of 49. For a trailer with a weight of more than 750 kg, 287 rubles are proposed instead of 270. The rate for motorcycles and trailer homes will increase from 49 to 52 rubles.

It is worth clarifying that this is only a proposal. The final rates will be approved after the adoption of the document.
