New entries in the Register of Hazardous Products are terry towels measuring 50×90 cm. The manufacturer of bath accessories is LLC 'Turon Vodiy Teks' from Uzbekistan, the importer is Kobrin-based LLC 'PP Polesye'. The list includes items in dark gray, blue, and indigo colors.

The State Standard explained that terry towels should 'absorb' at least 80 mm of water on first contact within half an hour. However, the tested items had a safety indicator 'capillarity' of 22, 23, and 27 mm in 30 minutes.

Starting tomorrow, bans on the sale, import, and circulation of these towels have been introduced.
