A significant number of citizens have various benefits on property taxes. "The majority of them are persons who have reached the generally established retirement age," explained Denis Teryoshkov.

Benefits also apply to large families, disabled persons, minors, incapacitated persons, individuals serving compulsory military or alternative service, citizens covered by the veterans law, and some other categories of taxpayers. Tax authorities monitor information about privileged categories of citizens and, taking it into account, assess taxes for them. And if benefits cover all obligations, then no notice is even sent.

Belarusians must pay a single property tax payment by no later than November 16, which includes three types of taxes — transport, land, and property.
