In Belarus, as of November 1, children's allowances and financial assistance for opening a business have increased.

On the calendar, it is November 1, which means that a number of innovations are coming into effect in Belarus.

As of November 1, the budget subsistence minimum per capita will be fixed at 535 rubles 70 kopecks on average. This is the fourth and final increase in 2026. The new amount of the main benchmark for calculating various benefits and supplements will be in effect until the end of January.

One-time payments for the birth of children will also increase proportionally. For the first child, 5,357 rubles are allocated, and for the second and subsequent children, it will be almost 7,500 Belarusian rubles.

News for those who want to try their hand at business

Subsidies for opening one's own business have also increased as of today. Such support from the state is provided to those who are 18 years old and older, and who have registered with the employment service as unemployed. Financial assistance for a comfortable start is provided free of charge.

In cities, the amount of support is equal to eleven budget subsistence minimums, which is almost 5,900 Belarusian rubles. If a business is planned in small towns, rural areas, or areas with high tension in the labor market, it is possible to receive more than 8,000 rubles. And if the business is science-intensive, the amount is almost 11,000 rubles.

At the same time, specialists are ready to provide support to beginning entrepreneurs at all stages: this includes free training in the basics of business and assistance in preparing financial documents.

Maxim Florinsky, head of the main department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Belarus, said: "To date, more than 800 subsidies have been issued in the country for organizing one's own business. Subsidies are issued for organizing hairdressing services, car repair shops, driver services, and trade. This measure is in higher demand in the Gomel, Mogilev, and Minsk regions."

November is the time to pay taxes

By the 16th, you need to settle accounts for cars, real estate, and land. So now is the time to check your mailbox or personal account on the website of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties.

You can pay them through the Unified Republican Information Portal, at the post office, at the bank, or in the same personal account. The main thing is to do it on time, otherwise, next year, 15% will be added to the debt amount.

Denis Tereshkov, Deputy Head of the Main Department of the Ministry of Taxes and Levies of Belarus: "Some citizens, without waiting for November 16, have fulfilled their tax obligations. It's too early to talk about the figures and the number of payers, but annually it should be noted that citizens, as a rule, having received their notifications, familiarized themselves with the amount, do not postpone payment for a long time and settle immediately after receiving the notification."

From November 20, the tax burden for some agro-homesteads will decrease

From this date, the relevant decree of the President will come into effect. This concerns homesteads located far from large settlements. For subjects of agro-ecotourism, this is not the only innovation. In general, it is planned to give this sphere an additional impetus in order to ultimately obtain a full-fledged tourist product.

The innovations will also affect car owners. From November 16, a measure will come into effect that completely cancels the repeated technical inspection when changing the owner of a vehicle. That is, if you buy a car that has a valid permit for admission to road traffic, it automatically retains its force until the end of its term.
