Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree "On the Creation of the Academy of Intellectual Technologies". The new institution will begin training specialists from September 1, 2027. Training will be conducted in the fields of natural sciences, industrial and digital technologies, as well as other promising specialties. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

Who can enroll

For the Academy a separate admission procedure is envisaged — in the format of a republican competition.

Participation will be open to school graduates, college students, university students, enterprise specialists and scientists. The preliminary stages of the competition will be organized in Minsk, regional centers and large cities.

Candidates will need to present their own idea, development, invention or rationalization proposal.

Final selection will be held in the format of an intensive

Participants who pass the preliminary selection will be able to proceed to the final stage of the competition. It will represent a practical intensive course directly at the Academy.

Applicants will have to complete individual and group tasks, publicly defend their project and pass an internal entrance examination.

Scientists and enterprise specialists will be involved in teaching

The educational process plans to involve leading scientists and teachers, as well as managers and specialists from enterprises with significant achievements in science, innovation and production.

Training programs can be adjusted according to the needs of specific industries. At the same time, students will have the opportunity to independently choose specialized courses, related profiling or a specialty.

Students will work on real projects

Part of the training will take place directly at enterprises. Students will be able to solve real production tasks, engage in project and research work independently or in groups.

It is expected that the outcome of such work will be specific products and developments that can be implemented in the real sector of the economy or commercialized. Experimental educational programs and modern teaching methods that successfully pass testing in the Academy are planned to be introduced in other educational institutions as well.

How the training will be completed

After completing their studies, students will have to take a state exam. In addition, they will need to defend a startup project or an applied research work.

The work of the Academy and oversight of its activities will be carried out by a supervisory board. It will be chaired by the Minister of Education. The board will also include heads of relevant ministries and agencies, representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the High Technologies Park.

The creation of the Academy is aimed at forming an interdisciplinary scientific and educational environment focused on practical results and links with the real sector of the economy.
