Money goes into the bill acceptor; everything else is better left in your pockets. But in practice, this rule is not always followed. Priorbank displayed a collection of unusual items that its specialists retrieved from ATM recyclers.

Among the finds were receipts and candy wrappers, a small icon, a neurologist appointment slip, and even a piece of lavash. According to the published photo, engineers also encountered more familiar small items — coins, rubber bands, and paper clips.

As a bank specialist explained, it is precisely these last three categories that most often end up inside the devices. Priorbank assumes that this happens more by accident than on purpose: for example, a foreign object can get into the ATM together with a stack of bills.

For the device itself, such small items can become a problem. A foreign object can halt the recycler's operation, and it cannot be used until a specialist arrives. The bank reminds customers of this in case someone urgently needs to withdraw cash or top up a card at that moment.
