From October 15, in the event of a car accident, Belarusian motorists can fill out European protocols online. To do this, you need to log in to the web application, enter the data of the accident participants, and upload a couple of photos of the collided cars. All the details are in the project "Everything is clear with Marina Karaman".
The conditions for filling out the European protocol remain the same, only now motorists have the opportunity to speed up the procedure and not bother with hand-drawn diagrams.
Where to fill out the European protocol online?
The service where you can fill out the European protocol online is a web application. That is, it exists separately from all sites and portals, but always hangs in the cloud, it is impossible to download it to a mobile device, you can only enter it through the internet.
Since the development of the service was handled by the Belarusian Bureau for Transport Insurance, the address of the application contains a piece of the name of its website: btib. In the address bar when switching to the electronic European protocol, it should be written e-statement.btib.org.
"But all this is too complicated, so if you need to fill out a car accident without the traffic police, it's better to go to the website of the Belarusian Bureau for Transport Insurance, and from there to the application. For this, a large banner with an active link hangs on the main page of the site," recommends Marina Karaman.
In addition, all insurance companies in the country will place such links on their websites, and on insurance contract forms, they will apply a QR code that will help quickly access the application.
How to fill out the European protocol online?
The application will immediately ask you questions that will help it determine whether you need to call the traffic police: are only two cars involved in the accident, are they Belarusian, are they not removed from the register, is there a valid insurance for the cars, did the accident occur in Belarus, was no one injured, is the damage limited to 150 basic units, are both drivers sober and are there no disagreements about determining the culprit of the accident.
Then you will be asked to enter the date and time of the incident, indicate the address, choose from the proposed list of actions of both parties after which the collision occurred, leave the numbers of the bodies, phones, and driver's licenses of the accident participants, upload photos of the cars, mark the damage on the diagrams, and wait for an SMS with codes.
The system will verify whether the documents uploaded for the specified individuals are listed, send both parties confirmation codes, inform that the accident has been registered in the database of the Belarusian Bureau of Transport Insurance, and issue a notification number. With that number, the victim can apply for insurance payouts.
What to do if you cannot complete the Euro protocol online?
If you started filling out the Euro protocol online and something went wrong, call 140. This is the phone number of a call center created specifically to help with the preparation of paper and electronic notifications.
The service operates 24/7, without holidays. Its staff are always ready to answer questions about how to report an accident without a police call, how to correctly enter data into the electronic or paper Euro protocol, and how to use the new application.
