Planning a trip to Minsk-2 airport (Minsk National Airport) requires not only purchasing tickets, but also a well-thought-out decision on how to get to the terminal. Having your own car is convenient, but leaving it in a long-term parking lot involves both risk and extra costs. Public transport — buses and minibuses — runs on a strict schedule, without taking into account your hurry, traffic jams on the M1 highway, and the weight of your luggage. This is exactly why ordering a transfer becomes the most reliable and comfortable alternative, especially if you are flying early in the morning or returning on a late flight.

The first step is to decide on the type of transfer. There are two main options: individual (a personal car is provided just for you) and group (a minibus that picks up several passengers along the route). An individual transfer costs more, but you get a guaranteed pick-up time, flexibility on the address (whether from the center of Minsk or from the suburbs) and complete privacy. A group transfer saves money, but you will have to adjust to the schedule and make additional stops. If you are traveling with children, an oversized snowboard or a bicycle, be sure to indicate this when booking — not all cars are equipped to handle such luggage.

The main question is where to order. The most common way is through online aggregators (for example, Yandex Taxi or local services like "Transfer Service"). You fill out a form: date and time, pick-up address (home, hotel, or a point within the city), flight (flight number), number of passengers and car class (economy, comfort, or business). The system immediately shows a fixed price that will not change after confirmation. An important nuance: specify the flight number, not just the departure time. Professional drivers monitor the flight status online and, if your plane is delayed, the driver will arrive adjusted to the new time — this is free at most companies.

What to do if you are returning to Minsk from the airport?

You can also book a "return" transfer in advance, but not all services support this — be sure to check whether night vehicles are available in the arrivals area. If you're arriving in an unfamiliar city or don't have internet access, there are always self-service kiosks in the arrivals hall and taxi counters, but they come with a 40–60% surcharge. So the best strategy is to book your airport transfer in advance through the "Transfer Service" website with a guaranteed meet-and-greet. The driver will be waiting for you with a sign near the exit of the "green corridor" or by the café on the first floor. And remember: even during peak airport times, a professional carrier always has permission to park at the terminal, saving you 15–20 minutes of walking with your luggage.

Don't forget about the carrier's liability insurance — this is a mandatory requirement for legal companies in Belarus. Check at the time of booking whether it's included in the price. Also check whether the car has air conditioning and free Wi-Fi (often available in business class). If you're traveling with pets, you need to let the company know — most carriers allow pets to be transported in special containers at no extra charge. And one last tip: when heading to Minsk-2, always plan your time with a buffer of at least 2.5 hours before departure for domestic flights and 3 hours for international ones. Even the most punctual driver can encounter an unexpected situation on the highway, but by leaving early you offset all the risks and start your journey stress-free.
