A more reliable method is dry covering. The vine is removed from its support, placed on a dry bedding of boards or pine branches, tied into a bundle and pinned to the ground. On top, a frame is set up—a wooden box or arches. If the vine is long, you can make a box from boards: assemble a rectangular crate without a bottom and cover it with a lid.
