
The Main Statistical Office of the region reported on the level of income and expenses of households in the Mogilev region for the first half of 2026. The total amount of monetary income of the population of Mogilev region amounted to 8,474.5 million rubles.
The main sources of monetary income for the population were wages – 63 % and transfers to the population (pensions, benefits, scholarships and others) – 26.7 %.
Disposable resources per household in the region for the first half of the year amounted to 2,676.1 rubles per month, or 1,265.5 rubles per household member per month. Consumer expenditures per household were 1,818.3 rubles per month, of which 37.5 % went to food, said Elena Morozova, head of the region’s Main Statistical Office. Of the total food spending, 26.8 % was spent on meat and meat products, 18.9 % on milk and dairy products, 13.7 % on bread and bakery products, 8.3 % on fruits and berries, 7 % on vegetables and melons, 5.6 % on sugar and confectionery, and 5.4 % on fish and fish products. Expenditures on non‑food goods and services accounted for 1,086.7 rubles, or 59.8 % of household consumer spending, of which 13.2 % was spent on transport, 10.7 % on housing, 7.2 % on household items, household appliances and home maintenance, 6.7 % on information and communications, 5.7 % on clothing and footwear, 5.9 % on healthcare, 3.1 % on culture, recreation and sports, and 0.9 % on education services.
