In three years of the “One District – One Project” program in the Grodno Region, 19 investment projects were implemented, providing jobs for more than 900 residents of the region.
In 2026, the Grodno Region’s investment map continues to be enriched with new projects. In the Shchuchyn District, the construction of a mushroom‑substrate production complex has been completed, while in Svisloch work continues on the development of a container terminal. At the same time, industrial enterprises are being modernized and tourism facilities are being developed.
Each district has its own economic specialization, its own resources and development opportunities. Some areas have potential for industrial production, others require processing of local raw materials, and some open up prospects for tourism. The question is how to turn these advantages into functioning enterprises, new jobs, and sustainable sources of income. This is the task that the “One District – One Project” initiative aims to solve
Another large-scale project is being implemented in the Svislach district. LLC "Unionway" is building a container terminal in the area of the Svislach railway station. Its appearance is connected with the development of transport and logistics infrastructure. The geographical location and opportunities for rail communication can become important competitive advantages.
Logistics, by the way, today affects the economic attractiveness of the region no less than the presence of production facilities. For enterprises, the availability of transport routes means the possibility of optimizing the supply of raw materials and the shipment of finished products. The development of terminal infrastructure can create additional conditions for attracting business.
Modern SPA building
In the Dyatlovsky district, a project to develop the "Alfa Radon" sanatorium is at the final stage. It involves expanding the range of services provided by the famous medical SPA resort.
The construction is divided into several stages. The sanatorium has already launched a modern year-round swimming pool. By the end of 2026, it is planned to open a new high-tech SPA building, expand the restaurant area, and put into operation a service hotel for staff with 18 rooms. This will allow the five-star health resort to significantly expand the list of therapeutic and relaxing procedures, and also attract more tourists.
Modernization of flagships
A separate direction of regional investment policy is related to expanding access to financial resources for enterprises. For the implementation of new projects, including in the tourism sector, mechanisms for preferential lending are provided.
Depending on the specifics of the initiatives, enterprises can use banking products such as "Strong Regions", "Tourist Potential", "Technological Self-Sufficiency", and "New Products". More than 80 organizations in the Grodno region have already been included in the relevant lists. Their projects cover industrial production, processing of local raw materials, and tourism, explained Sergey Myasnikov.
In Skidzel, OAO Molochy Mir is building a modern cheese-making workshop. They plan to process up to 500 tons of milk per day here. At the same time, in Smorgon, the Lidsky Dairy Canning Plant is constructing a powerful drying complex.
In the Slonim district, AKVAPAK INDUSTRIAL is carrying out large-scale equipment updates. After technical modernization, the factory will be able to produce new types of durable cardboard boxes and packaging.
The tourism sector has significant potential. The list of projects applying for preferential financing includes major initiatives in Grodno: the creation of a cultural and historical park "Old City" in the agro-tourism complex "Garadzenski mayontak Karobchytsy", initiated by OAO Grodno Meat Processing Plant, as well as the reconstruction of the complex of buildings on Zavodskaya Street, 2 - the former complex of the brewery - into a multi-functional complex. The project is being implemented by LLC MBA Investment.
The practical effectiveness of preferential financing is already confirmed by the implemented projects. For example, in the Oshmyany district, LLC Midaspro acquired a flexographic printing machine for the modernization and development of paper packaging production. In Grodno, LLC SkyLine Mebel, thanks to preferential lending, purchased equipment for furniture production.
The experience of the Grodno region shows that investment projects should be practical and understandable. After all, in the end, the economy of the districts is based on point and practical solutions - businesses that immediately provide people with jobs and replenish the local budget.
