In autumn, boiler houses undergo the scheduled annual inspection. About 99% of facilities nationwide have already been inspected. There are more than five thousand of them in total. In the Gomel, Mogilev, and Grodno regions, all consumers and heat sources have received readiness passports. They are also checking metering devices, automation, and thermal insulation. All this is to ensure that heat reaches homes without interruption during the cold season.

Mikhail Shevaldyn, First Deputy General Director of the state production association “Belenergo”: “A whole set of organizational and technical measures has been developed, which includes technical work on the replacement and design of electrical and heating networks, appointment of persons responsible for conducting various activities, provision of fuel oil stocks, implementation of various operational adjustments, and other activities. In particular, replacement and reconstruction of heating networks are being carried out. At present, we have replaced about 86% of the heating networks envisaged in the plans.”

Alexander Gulevich, Deputy General Director of the institution “State Energy and Gas Supervision”: “All organizations participating in this preparation have developed appropriate action plans. These measures must be fully implemented by September 20. Readiness passports must be registered with the state energy and gas supervision authority by September 30. As of now, 27,710 consumer readiness passports and 10,335 heat source readiness passports are subject to registration.”

And exactly when the heat will be turned on will be decided by the weather. If the average daily temperature is +10°C or lower for three consecutive days, kindergartens, schools, hospitals, and other social facilities will be connected first. Then the residential housing stock. For it, the threshold is +8°C.
