Real cash incomes of Belarusians over eight months rose by 8.2% compared with the same period in 2025.
The increase in incomes creates conditions for further expansion of consumer activity, experts at the Eurasian Development Bank note.
Belarusian employers, due to a shortage of staff in recent months, have been raising wages. At the same time, the unemployment rate fell to a historic low of 1.9%.
Bank analysts emphasize that raising the base wage rate since September has further supported the incomes of public sector workers — this has allowed the real wage growth in that sector to stay ahead of the economy‑wide average. It is becoming one of the key factors driving further growth in consumer demand.
