At OJSC "Grodno Azot," in the Ammonia-4 workshop, startup operations have begun following the completion of scheduled equipment maintenance, which was combined with a reconstruction project.

During the heating of the workshop's main units, a technological gas containing flammable substances is used. Until the startup operations are complete, this gas is vented to the flare system.

To utilize the flammable substances in the technological gas, the ammonia production regulations, as per the design, stipulate the burning of this gas at the flare system. These startup operations can last for several days. Once the final product, ammonia, is obtained, the burning of the technological gas at the flare system will cease.
