Caught Red-Handed: How Many Illegal Businessmen Were Caught in the Mogilev Region Over 7 Months

Tax authorities in the Mogilev region have uncovered 23 cases of illegal entrepreneurial activity over the course of seven months. This was reported by the press center of the Tax Inspectorate of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties for the Mogilev Region.

Following the operational activities, the economic court brought 19 individuals to administrative liability. The offenders were fined a total of 7.9 thousand rubles, and goods along with illegally earned revenue were confiscated in the total amount of 50.5 thousand rubles. In addition, the violators were assessed taxes totaling 2.5 thousand rubles.

Work to identify illegal businesses is ongoing. So, in August, the sale of non-food goods without state registration was stopped in Mogilev. A total of 334 units of goods, including jewelry, glasses, and underwear, worth 3.9 thousand rubles, were seized from an individual. The products have been impounded. The offender faces a fine of up to 100 base units with confiscation of the subject of the offense. He is also required to pay a unified tax for August in the amount of 1.1 thousand rubles.
