In communication with journalists on the eve of the regional Dozhinki, Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Ivan Krupko noted that in recent years our region has confidently threshed more than a million tons of grain from cereals and rapeseed oilseeds.

"Thanks to corn grain, we plan to reach last year's total harvest. Over the past two years, the region has not only fully supplied the livestock industry with its own grain, but also created a carryover stock for next year," emphasized the regional head.

An excellent result was achieved in rapeseed harvesting. The total harvest of oilseeds showed steady growth, and yields on the best plots surpassed records from previous years. In total, 144.4 thousand tons of rapeseed oilseeds were obtained, which is twice last year's volume.

Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Ivan Krupko noted that the 2026 harvesting campaign proceeded in an organized manner, and the obtained results are worthy. The leader in threshing among districts was Rechitsky District.

"493 combine crews and 350 drivers surpassed the thousand-ton mark in threshing and grain transport. A significant contribution was made by the young shift: 41 youth crews and 47 young drivers. Also, women - 17 crews with women's participation and two female drivers," emphasized the governor.
