
Today marks the second day of the eighth Investment Forum "Mogilevsky District – Territory of Possibilities". On the basis of the agroestate "Gray Neck", the section "Investments in Rural Tourism: from Estate to Territory Brand" was held. Participants discussed new growth points, legislative novelties and signed four intention protocols. The first item on the program was informal communication and an excursion through the agroestate "Gray Neck". The owner of the estate Svetlana Makhankova shared her experience of creating a cozy place that has already become the district's trademark.
Opening: Hospitality as the first step
The section work was opened by the moderator – an employee of the state tourism company "MogilevoBlutrist" Daria Lazovskaya. She noted that the meeting topic was chosen deliberately: Mogilevsky District is today a ready ecosystem with clusters, green routes and demand that already exceeds supply. The goal of the event is to package the region's opportunities into a new in-demand tourist product and bring it to leading positions in the country.
Among the participants of the section were representatives of the Russian Embassy, Rosprofessionality, the deputy chamber, the tourism industry and agroecoestates.
Guests were presented with a video guide about key tourist objects of Mogilevsky District.
With a welcoming address to those gathered, First Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee Elena Vaksman spoke. She also presented the tourist and investment potential of the region. Tourism has been defined as one of seven key priorities of the Socio-economic Development Program of the Republic of Belarus for 2026-2030. The head of state has set an ambitious task: to increase the sector's contribution to the economy at least twice.
Elena Bronislavovna noted the rich historical-cultural heritage of the district: 15 objects included in the State List of Historical-Cultural Values. Among them – ancient churches, estates and memorable places. She also reminded about the tourist route "Ozherele Svytinya", which unites religious shrines in the agrorural settlements of Knyazitsa, Polkovichy, Sukharyi, Veyino and the village Golenny 1.

Speaking about legislative innovations in the field of agro-ecotourism, Deputy Head of the Management of the State Institution "National Tourism Agency" Sergei Bubienko said. He reminded that in 2025, the National Tourism Agency was established in Belarus as a separate industry regulator.

Head of the TIZC Department "Region Mogilev" Igor Sharukho reminded that their center is the first and only regional tourism information center in Belarus, which turned three years old on September 15th. Its mission is to accumulate information on 13 types of tourism and transform it for tourists and partners.
Igor Nikolaevich noted the unique geographical location of the region. He listed prominent objects that today form the tourist code of the region.
"We must live peacefully and travel, because the best enjoyment for us is tourism," concluded his speech, Igor Nikolaevich.
The climax of the "Investments in Rural Tourism: From Estate to Territory Brand" section was the signing of protocols of intent for cooperation.
