«Универсал Бобруйск»: synergy of quality production and social
The mirror‑making section is the largest at the plant, employing 86 people. Among them is Svetlana Kazarez, operator of vacuum‑deposition processes. Hearing problems she has had since childhood did not prevent this Bobruysk resident from becoming a true ace in her field. Svetlana Fyodorovna skillfully loads foil blanks and several glass pieces into a modern installation, seals the chamber, and after 30 minutes removes perfect mirror surfaces. This autumn Svetlana Kazarez also celebrates a milestone: 20 years of work at the Universial Bobruysk plant. Over these years she has produced thousands of rear‑view mirrors for vehicles that travel the roads of many countries worldwide.
Course on import substitution
The geography of supplies from the Bobruysk plant is impressive. The products are distributed among key machinery manufacturers: 30 percent of the mirrors are shipped to the Minsk Automobile Plant, 30 percent go to Russian JSC KAMAZ, and 20 percent are taken by the Minsk Tractor Plant. The remaining 20 percent are shared among other customers from Belarus and Russia: JSC Amkodorr, JSC Gomselmash, JSC UKH Bobruyskagromash, Bobruysk Tractor Parts and Assemblies Plant, Petersburg Tractor Plant, LLC KZ Rostselmash, and others.
Import substitution occupies a special place in this structure. A vivid example is the Russian industrial giant JSC KAMAZ. Previously, rear‑view mirrors were purchased from Germany, but for the past two months this order has been fulfilled in Bobruysk, fully meeting the partner’s needs and guaranteeing technological independence.
Traditions and innovations
Today the Universial Bobruysk plant produces a wide range of products: brake hoses for vehicles with pneumatic drive, gas hoses for industrial and household needs, hoses for drinking water supply, flexible ventilation extenders, reinforced high‑pressure hoses, switches, fuse blocks, sockets, mirror‑heating cables, tractor‑seat covers, and other components for heavy‑duty equipment.

Inna Viktorovna has no hearing problems. And with turner‑revolver operator Sergey Kozlovsky, who has been stamping connecting elements for various transport systems for 21 years, we communicate with the help of a sign language interpreter.
Ilyariya Vinogradova came to the plant after graduating from the Maksim Tank Belarusian State University not by chance: her mother, Elena Rogalevich, a hearing‑impaired person, works here as a storekeeper‑packer.
Like one family: work, home, creativity
Preserving the traditions laid down by Vladimir Avchinnik, who managed the enterprise for 39 years, “Universal Bobruysk” makes a huge contribution to the social integration of people with health impairments. 160 out of 360 employees are hearing‑impaired, and another 40 people have disabilities due to general illnesses.
Here a unique barrier‑free ecosystem has been created: people not only work side by side, but most of them also live under one roof and spend their leisure time together.
