In Minsk, unused plots and areas with old sheds have found a new purpose. Over the next few years, 360 individual residential houses are planned to be built on such sites. This was announced by the CEO of GPO “Minsk‑Stroy” Anatoly Vedetchik, reports the “Minsk‑News” agency.

New cottages will appear in all districts of the capital — depending on the location, each will have between one and twenty‑five houses built. They are selecting sites where high‑rise construction or industrial facilities cannot be accommodated.

— In Minsk there are some sites that are unused. They are either abandoned or have unsold sheds. It was decided to build individual residential houses on these sites, which cannot be used for panel housing or any kind of production, — explained Anatoly Vedetchik.

The first nine projects of the company are already underway. Two of them will be put up for auction soon, and the remaining seven cottages are expected to be delivered next year. The land plots for construction will be provided on a lease basis.

According to the head of “Minsk‑Stroy”, the houses will be delivered in a highly finished state with all utilities connected, so that buyers only need to carry out the final interior finishing to their liking.
