Company 'Elitavto', Volvo dealer in Belarus, has brought the flagship electric model EX90. The 5-meter crossover has been produced since 2024 and is not a replacement for the XC90, but a complement to it. However, in our realities it turns out to be cheaper. Still, the price is not small.

For example, the price of the car you see in the photo is 112 thousand euros at the exchange rate. That's a lot. But for comparison: the XC90 in a similar configuration would cost about 135 thousand euros, according to dealer representatives.

It should be noted that this electric crossover is manufactured in the United States for the European market, although, besides that, the EX90 is also produced in China. This particular unit was delivered for a specific customer, imported as a legal entity with ZOETS clearance.

The 14.5‑inch tablet itself, with portrait orientation and Android Automotive OS, can please with good responsiveness and attractive graphics; moreover, the system comes with factory Russian localization, includes Apple CarPlay protocol, and there is a Volvo Cars app that works in our country (formerly known as Volvo on Call) — at least, according to the dealer representative, it launched without any problems.

On top of the front panel sits a central speaker. Besides its unusual shape, its housing is also distinguished by being made of Kevlar, which provides the necessary rigidity, eliminating sound distortion. The premium Bowers & Wilkins system has a settings program that simulates the acoustics of Gothenburg Concert Hall, but audiophiles can delve into the numerous Abbey Road settings.

The front seats feature adjustable cushion length, heating, ventilation, and massage. The separate second‑row seats can be moved fore‑and‑aft, the back‑rest angle can be changed, and they also have heating.

As for the third row, it’s mainly for children, with not much space there. Moreover, with a seven‑seat cabin configuration the trunk volume is only 310 liters. However, if you fold the rear seats using the electric drive, the usable cargo volume more than doubles; and if you also remove the second row (in which case you get a flat floor), up to 1,915 liters become available. Yes, there is also a front trunk with a volume of 37 liters.

The company says it is ready to supply such vehicles to order in various trim levels and provide a warranty, although they admit that potential buyers’ interest in the EX90 is moderate. Nevertheless, among the brand’s fans, the more compact and affordable XC60 crossovers enjoy far greater popularity.
