The first cut of grasses has been carried out in Belarus on 85% of the planned areas

In Belarus, grasses have been mowed during the first cut on an area of 1.2 million hectares, which is 85% of the plan. This was reported by BELTA in the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

Of the mowed area, 88% of the grasses have been harvested. 70,000 tonnes of hay have been prepared — 10% of the plan; 6.245 million tonnes of haylage have been prepared, which is 44% of the plan of 14.309 million tonnes. By region, haylage has been prepared as follows: in Brest region — 1.225 million tonnes (41% of the plan), in Vitebsk region — 652,000 tonnes (34% of the plan), in Gomel region — 738,000 tonnes (48% of the plan), in Grodno region — 1.130 million tonnes (42% of the plan), in Minsk region — 1.595 million tonnes (45% of the plan), in Mogilev region — 905,000 tonnes (54% of the plan).

249,000 tonnes of silage have been prepared, which is 1% of the plan of 20.519 million tonnes. Grass fodder has been prepared in the amount of 1.844 million tonnes of fodder units, which is 18% of the plan of 10.131 million tonnes.

Mineral fertilizers (nitrogen, phosphorus, potash) for spring sowing have been accumulated at 99% of the plan.
