The Belarusian Bureau of Motor Transport Insurance will launch a web application on October 15, thanks to which filing electronic accident notifications will be possible from a mobile device with any operating system, BELTA reports.

Drivers fill out the electronic notice themselves, just as on paper. However, instead of signatures, the decision is confirmed by SMS codes sent to the specified phone numbers. The web application for filing electronic notices can be used by all Belarusian drivers who have valid insurance, regardless of which insurance company issued it. A link to the web application can be found on the website of the Belarusian Bureau of Motor Transport Insurance.

However, filing an accident electronically without calling the traffic police is possible only in cases stipulated by legislation. Several conditions must be met simultaneously. Drivers must be sober, have driver's licenses of the appropriate category, and have insurance contracts.
