On September 29, Chairman of the Bobruisk City Executive Committee Maxim Gurin held an operational meeting. On the agenda were issues requiring immediate resolution: trade and cleanliness of the urban space. Raisa Rublevskaya, director of BOAO Promtorg, reported on the company's work. The Department Store is rightly considered the calling card of Bobruisk. The shopping center offers a wide range of products: food, clothing, household and interior items, tableware, children's goods, and haberdashery. Revenue for the first half of the year amounted to 110 thousand rubles, and for nine months the figure is forecast at around 169 thousand. The staff numbers 30 employees. Raisa Vladimirovna noted that the assortment of domestically produced goods on the shelves has been expanded: for 9 months the figure is forecast at 81.4%. On the instructions of the head of Bobruisk, a premium line of souvenir products is being developed jointly with a well-known Belarusian brand, which will fully reflect the flavor and character of Bobruisk. Maxim Gurin noted the progress, but stressed: there is room for improvement – with the growth of economic indicators, the level of wages will also rise. – In any city, the central department store is a place of attraction, – noted the chairman of the city executive committee. – Residents come here, delegations and tourists arrive who are interested in our branded products. People look and assess the quality of goods. It is clear that sometimes you want to make a quick order on a marketplace, but you need to understand: when buying "invisible" goods, there are no guarantees that consumer rights will be respected. Cleanliness in Bobruisk is under special control. The head of the city expressed dissatisfaction with the work being done in this direction, and also noted the lack of initiative of organizations and enterprises that ignore the public lands assigned to them. Utility services also came under fire for inaction:

What do I see at institutions that are supposed to set an example, where parents bring their children? Litter is lying around, grass is knee-high. Why, I ask, did we buy these lawn mowers then? The utility workers have 19 mowers on their books, but for some reason only four people are working in the city. Not enough people? I have said more than once: if there is a problem, come to us – we will solve it, we will help. The chairman urged the heads of structural divisions and administration chiefs to work productively, stressing that it is no longer possible to tolerate such a state of affairs: a citywide cleanup day will be held on October 3, and everyone must contribute to the cleanliness and comfort of the city space. The meeting also discussed fuel and energy resources, wages, tax payments, and preparations for the holidays (Teacher's Day, Senior Citizens' Day, Mother's Day).
