On the last Friday of the month, we remember well-known Belarusian brands. Today — about ATLANT equipment.

The company's history began in 1959, when a specialized refrigerator factory was created in Minsk. In 1962, the first refrigerator 'Minsk-1' was released. In 1973, a batch of refrigerators was shipped to Greece, marking the start of the enterprise's successful activity on the world market. In 1993, based on the existing production, the JSC 'ATLANT' was organized.

Today it comprises three enterprises: the Minsk Refrigerator Plant, the Baranavichi Machine Tool Plant, and the Household Appliances Plant (Minsk). The company produces refrigerators and freezers, including medical ones, washing machines, commercial refrigeration equipment, as well as compressors and electric drives.

Here are some interesting facts.

In 1974, the freezer 'Minsk-17' was released for the first time in the USSR. Also, for the first time in the USSR, two-chamber refrigerator and freezer with polyurethane foam thermal insulation were developed and produced at the MHZ.

In 1977, the production association 'Atlant' was created: Minsk Refrigerator Plant (main enterprise), Smolensk Refrigerator Plant (RSFSR), Lithuanian Refrigerator Plant and Maižiai Compressor Plant (Lithuanian SSR).

The first ATLANT washing machine was released in 2003, and the first batch of refrigerators with the NO FROST system — in 2012.
