Tablets were found on a citizen of Israel who arrived at Minsk National Airport. He proceeded through the green corridor of the border crossing point and stated that he did not have any goods subject to declaration with him.

However, during the inspection, 170 tablets were found in the passenger's accompanied baggage. The result of the expertise conducted showed that they contained the hazardous psychotropic substance oxazepam, which is only permitted for controlled circulation.

A criminal case was initiated against the citizen by the operational customs authorities in accordance with Part 2 of Article 328-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.

We draw attention to the fact that medications containing psychotropics that are moved across the customs border are subject to mandatory written declaration.

Individuals are allowed to import and export psychotropic substances in an amount not exceeding 90 single doses in the form of medicinal products for personal use for medical reasons, provided they have supporting medical documents or their copies, indicating the name and quantity of such means and substances.
