The head of state received a report from Presidential aide – inspector for the Mogilev Region Nadezhda Kotkovets. The main topic of the meeting was a report on the implementation of instructions given by the Belarusian leader during a working trip to the Shklov District on September 18.
Nadezhda Kotkovets reported on measures to improve organizational and technological manageability in large agricultural holdings, strengthen discipline, and eliminate systemic shortcomings. Earlier, the Presidential Administration and the regional inspector had been tasked with studying in detail the work of agricultural enterprises on the ground. The experience of such Mogilev Region farms as Aleksandriyskoye and Govyady-Agro is now being considered as a baseline for scaling management solutions across the entire republic. The focus remains on personnel issues, reducing production costs, and strict control over results, with specialists from Mogilev industrial enterprises also brought in to help ensure them.
A separate section of the report was devoted to the completion of seasonal field work. In the Mogilev Region, the harvesting of rapeseed, grain, and leguminous crops has been fully completed. Areas under winter rapeseed were increased beyond plan due to the crop's high economic profitability. Winter grain sowing is 46% complete, with the region's farmers fully supplied with mineral fertilizers and resources to finish the campaign within optimal agrotechnical timeframes.
In addition, the Presidential aide reported on the implementation of instructions in the field of potato growing. The region has established the necessary conditions, including proven cultivation technologies, high-quality domestic varieties, and modern storage facilities. The key task for the near term has been defined as actively seeking new sales markets and increasing production volumes.
