Today, the Lidsky District was visited on a working trip by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Belarus, Nuriddin Mamajonov. During the visit, the ambassador familiarized himself with the leading industrial enterprises of Lidchina, among them the Neman Glass Plant, LIPLAST‑SPb, and Lakokraska. At present, seven enterprises of the Lidsky region already have close cooperation with Uzbekistan. These are Lidselmash, Lakokraska, the Lidsky Milk‑Canning Combine, Lidafood Concentrates, Techmash, Electroizdelia, and Lidskoe Pivo. They supply their products to Uzbekistan, participate in international exhibitions, and develop joint projects. During the visit, prospects for further industrial cooperation were discussed. The talk was not only about expanding supplies of finished products, but also about opportunities for exporting raw‑material components — resins, solvents, pigments for the paint and varnish industry, and polymer raw materials for the needs of Uzbek enterprises. The parties noted mutual interest in deepening cooperation in mechanical engineering, chemical, and food industries. The ambassador’s visit became an important step in strengthening trade and economic ties between the Lidsky District and Uzbekistan.
