The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade has set maximum retail prices for fruit and vegetable products sold within the framework of the state order for the 2026/2027 season. Decree No. 56 dated October 9, 2026 has already been signed.

The press service of MART reported on the new price restrictions. The document will come into force after its posting on the National Legal Internet Portal.

The established prices include VAT and concern only those batches of fruit and vegetable products that are procured when fulfilling the state order.

The periods of validity of the maximum prices differ depending on the type of product.

  • For fresh medium- and long-fruited cucumbers, the interseasonal period runs from November 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027 inclusive.
  • For red tomatoes, except for cherry and stem tomatoes – from November 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027 inclusive.
  • For potatoes, carrots and beets, the interseasonal period runs from November 15, 2026 through May 31, 2027 inclusive.
  • For head cabbage, onion and apples – from November 15, 2026 through April 30, 2027 inclusive.

A separate maximum trade markup amounting to 30 percent is established for forming retail prices of fruit and vegetable products received as fulfillment of the state order.

This markup applies to manufacturers' release prices as well as to prices of economic entities supplying fruit and vegetable products to processors within the scope of the state order.

Previously, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food had already determined maximum prices for main types of fruit and vegetable products for the 2026/27 interseasonal period to fulfill the state order.

This was fixed in the decree of September 8, 2026, No. 72, which came into force on September 1, 2026, and concerns potatoes, beets, carrots, cabbage, onions and apples of the 2026 harvest.

According to this document, the maximum prices for potatoes are 0.66–0.74 rubles per kilogram depending on delivery conditions,

  • for carrots – 0.78–0.94 rubles
  • for beets – 0.69–0.82 rubles

The highest prices are set for apples – 2.73–3.36 rubles per kilogram

  • for head cabbage – 0.98–1.13 rubles
  • for onion – 1.05–1.18 rubles

Thus, MART has set the upper limit of retail prices and the trade markup for fruit and vegetable products entering stores via state order during the 2026/2027 interseasonal period.
