In October 2026, the GUDOV "Center for Training, Advanced Training, and Retraining of Personnel of the Committee on Agriculture and Food of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee in the city of Gorki" is celebrating its anniversary. For forty years now, it has been welcoming its students, opening its doors with joy.
Forty years is an age of flourishing, wisdom, and creative energy. In the history of four decades, it is just a moment, but for people whose fates are connected with the Center, it is a whole era. This is a time for summing up results, reflecting on achievements, successes, and plans for the future. Over these years, the Center has undergone a long journey not only of formation but also of accumulating experience, improving the quality of work, creative search, and improving its material and technical base. The forty-year history of our Center has been shaped by many years of efforts, victories, and searches, earning it authority and accumulating experience.
Since its founding, in the distant 1986, by the decision of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee, an educational center was established. The main task of which is to ensure the improvement of the professional level of specialists of the middle and higher levels in agricultural areas, retraining and advanced training of workers in mass professions, and meeting the needs of district farms in obtaining new professions or qualifications for their employees.
On October 29, the Center (then still the courses of the Mogilev Regional Agro-Industrial Complex) opened its doors to its first students, who were in greatest demand in agricultural organizations. Over the 40 years of its operation, the Center has been headed by responsible and dedicated professionals. These include: Pyotr Yevtykhievich Shashenko (1986-1993), thanks to whose talent and experience the Center for Advanced Training of Agricultural Leaders and Specialists gained great popularity in the Mogilev region, and his contribution to the development of agricultural production was recognized at the level of regional and republican leadership; Alexander Vasilyevich Novik (1995-2002), who made a significant contribution to strengthening the material and technical base of the institution and creating comfortable conditions for students during their studies; Yakov Ustinovich Yarotsky (2002-2024), who, for his many years of conscientious work and significant personal contribution to the development of agricultural production, was repeatedly awarded honorary certificates, awards from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, and a letter of thanks from the President of the Republic of Belarus. Since 2024, the Center has been headed by Yedena Vasilyevna Starosotskaya.
Currently, 32 employees work at the Center, for whom work is not just a duty, but a calling. They demonstrate kindness, a creative approach, and genuine love for their work, putting their heart and soul into it. We are all one big and friendly family, consisting of several generations, selflessly in love with our work. Everyone has had to work hard, overcome numerous difficulties to achieve success and gain authority.
Gratitude and a low bow are due to the employees who have worked for most of their lives at the institution and continue to work, being the "golden fund" of the collective. These are: Tikhnovetskaya S.A., Kalinina T.D., Yarotsky Y.U.
On the anniversary birthday, we recall with gratitude those who have dedicated many years to serving the Center. These are: Yakubovsky F.M., Gomonova V.A., Ishchuk N.T., Kormnov S.G., Shved M.M., Shashenko A.G., Novikova L.M., Molchanova T.A., Muraleva L.V., Savonchik R.A., Brezgunova G.T., Brezgunova N.A., Zalensky V.A., Yakubovsky E.I., Dobrovolsky E.V., and others. Unfortunately, it is impossible to mention everyone by name on the page of the newspaper. Each of them is a whole era of our institution, a whole chapter in our life. May God grant you health, our dear ones! A low bow to you for your many years of work.
On such a significant anniversary birthday, we also want to express words of gratitude to the committee on agriculture and food of the Mogilev Oblispolkom for understanding our problems, for financial support, for the fact that the Center has worked for 40 years and has the opportunity to work in the future. I would like to note the mutual cooperation and assistance in organizing the educational process to Rector Velikanov V.V. and all teachers of the UO BGSHA, heads of agricultural organizations of the district and region, to whom we are grateful for providing material and technical base and production facilities for conducting theoretical and practical classes.
For an organization, a period of 40 years is a serious path of formation and development. The Center has managed to establish a system of training and retraining of personnel. At the same time, it keeps pace with the times and introduces new forms of work. The contribution that our Center makes to the training and retraining of specialists for agricultural enterprises contributes to the development of the agricultural sector as a whole.
May the Center continue to be a reliable haven where mutual understanding and striving for success reign. From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate the veterans, the current collective, and the listeners on this milestone anniversary. Thank you for your work!
