Gennady Klyga, Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI), shared the results of support provided to Belarusian exporters for the first half of 2026 with journalists before the start of the conference "Export of Goods: Confirmation of Origin, Financing and Insurance," a BELTA correspondent reports.

Gennady Klyga stressed that the key task of businesses entering foreign markets is to effectively use existing preference mechanisms and minimize risks. "It is no secret that Belarus is an export-oriented country. The majority of our goods are exported, so today's conference is being held to provide our manufacturers with more detailed information about the possibility of obtaining certificates of origin for goods. This is a very important document that allows their partner in the country of destination to receive preferences within the framework of customs regulation, which naturally makes our products cheaper for consumers in foreign countries," he explained.

In addition to certification, the event will address in detail issues of export financing and insurance. As the deputy chairman noted, in the current environment, protection of foreign currency earnings and risk insurance remain fundamental tools for promoting products.

Speaking about state support for domestic exports, Gennady Klyga noted that many decisions are being made. One of them is the recently introduced mechanism for compensating transportation costs. "All conditions have been created for our exporters to feel comfortable," the deputy chairman argued.

For its part, BelCCI provides targeted assistance to businesses. "Within the framework of the business forum, business events, and visits abroad, the Chamber holds B2B meetings where, at the request of enterprises, we arrange meetings with potential partners. We are ready to consider individual requests from enterprises in terms of market analysis, analytics, and selection of possible partners. Therefore, the main task facing the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is, naturally, to support Belarusian exports," Gennady Klyga assured.

Confirming the effectiveness of this work, the deputy chairman cited statistics: "In the first half of 2026, with the assistance of BelCCI, domestic enterprises concluded export contracts worth more than $270 million."

The chamber pays special attention to educational projects. In October, an updated training program of the "Export Academy" will be launched, which has been completely revised and has become more practice-oriented to enhance the qualifications of employees of foreign economic services of domestic enterprises, Gennady Klyga summarized.
