We continue to report on the construction of the overpass between Kolesnikova and Ratomskaya streets in Minsk. The 381-meter structure will connect the Frunzensky and Tsentralny districts, and it is intended to ease traffic in this part of the city. What is happening at the future construction site now?
November 2025
— Design work is currently underway. We are already preparing the first preparatory stage for expert review in the near future. The overpass structure will be built with expert support to speed up the construction process. The task is to build the facility within the next year. Accordingly, both design and construction will be carried out in stages, — said Alexei Govorko, director of the unitary enterprise Minskinzhproekt, during a discussion of the project led by Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev in November 2025. At that time, the Minsk-Novosti agency reported that it would be a 380-meter span structure made of precast reinforced concrete.

As of March 17, the site near the intersection of Kolesnikova and Masyukovshchina streets is fenced off, and special equipment is already stationed there. Pedestrian movement from Kolesnikova Street to the market (through the tunnel under the railway tracks) is organized along the fence on a specially built concrete path. Preparations are also underway at the market itself: according to eyewitnesses, part of the pavilions has already been demolished at the future construction site, and work continues.

— For now, work is organized during daylight hours; in the future we want to switch to round-the-clock operations. The length of the overpass is about 290 meters, including access roads, interchanges, and changes to the entire engineering and transport infrastructure. All the work is clear, and in the near future we plan to add additional installations, thereby increasing the speed of construction of the structures. Already at the end of May – beginning of June, we plan to begin erecting the first span structures, — Sergei Panyov, director of Gordorstroy, told a correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency.
The publication writes that the main traffic on the new overpass will be organized with three lanes in each direction; at intersections, the number of lanes will increase depending on the priority of the direction.

An Onlíner reader sent fresh photos from the construction of the overpass. According to him, work is proceeding quite actively. Despite this, a pedestrian passage from Kolesnikova Street to Timiryazeva Street (through the market territory) is maintained; for that purpose, a special slab deck was installed back in March.

Let us recall that the 381-meter-long overpass will connect Kamennaya Gorka with Lebyazhye, which should have a positive effect on logistics. In addition, it is part of a global project to develop the capital's transport infrastructure. In particular, it concerns the development of the third ring road.
— The structure will include 12 spans, on which 224 beams will be installed: 201 of them are 33 m long (11 spans), and one span is 18 m. The beams are delivered on time by the reinforced concrete bridge structures plant of Dorstroiindustriya from Fanipol. The overpass will have three lanes in each direction. Its width varies from about 38 m at the beginning to 44 m at the approach ramps. A coordination headquarters at the site meets weekly with the participation of the customer and all involved organizations, — Sergei Rubchenya, director of the general contractor, MSU No. 2 of Mostostroy, told a Minsk-Novosti correspondent.

— Currently, about 60 specialists from our department and colleagues from MSU No. 6 are working at the site, who work on a rotational basis, around the clock, without days off. Taking subcontractors into account, more than 30 pieces of equipment have been brought in, — Roman Zalutsky, head of the site at MSU No. 2, said in turn.
It is reported that at the moment, three of the thirteen supports have been erected, two more are under construction, and in parallel, bored piles are being installed for another two supports. The construction of supports is carried out in stages, as utility networks are relocated. Work has also begun on the construction of retaining walls. On the first three spans, reinforced concrete beams 33 m long and weighing more than 60 tons each have been installed.
The agency writes that the general contractor and subcontractors plan, if possible, to reduce the standard construction period, which is 36 months.

By the end of July, seven spans of beams will have been installed, after which five more will remain to be laid. So far we are strictly on schedule: we plan to fully complete the installation of reinforced concrete beams and their monolithic concreting in October, and by the end of November — to lay asphalt concrete," said Sergei Vashkevich, General Director of Mostostroy, during a field meeting chaired by Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev. He also noted that the current rains are not an obstacle.
"For concrete, this is even good: humidity is necessary when monolithing the beams. The rains will not affect the quality of concrete or asphalt," Minsk-Novosti quotes him as saying. It is specified that about 70 people are currently involved at the site, and work is carried out around the clock.
By the way, in parallel with the construction, Kolesnikova and Lyutsinskaya streets are being reconstructed. According to reports, this stage is 80% complete, and they intend to fully complete it in July. In addition, reconstruction of Kolesnikova Lane will be carried out with an exit from the overpass to the MKAD.
As for the expansion of Timiryazeva Street, as Vladimir Latushkin, General Director of the Department of Road and Bridge Construction and Improvement of the Minsk City Executive Committee, said, the project is currently under review: "As soon as we receive approval (before the end of summer), we intend to begin the necessary work so that everything is ready by the time the overpass is launched. This will avoid traffic congestion."
August 11
"The readiness of the structure is 55–60%. There are 5 out of 12 span structures left to cover," Sergei Panyov, Director of the State Enterprise "Gordorstroy," told a correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency. "In mid-September, we plan to arrange access roads to the overpass from each side and begin asphalt paving of the approaches."

It is specified that about 200 people are currently employed at the construction site daily.
"Specialists involved in the bridge construction work around the clock. Landscaping and engineering support of the adjacent areas are carried out on an overtime basis to put the facility into operation as quickly as possible," the agency quotes the interlocutor as saying.

An Onlíner reader shared fresh photos of the construction site, which he took a few days ago.

This is what the overpass looks like if you walk from the Kolesnikov side.

And this photo was taken on the market grounds.

And this is a view from the other side.
Here are two more photos sent to us by another reader. One of them shows that there are no span beams over the railway itself yet.
