Our hero unloaded from a combine 2780 tons of grain. For him this victory became especially significant. Over 20 years of work he never became the first thousand harvester among combines operators in the region, but for the first time he will climb onto the first step of the regional pedestal of honor as a winner.

Victor Mikhailovich is from Maslakovo. His father was a driver, so since childhood he has been drawn to technology and agricultural labor. After school he graduated from Shklovsky College with a specialization in "agricultural production master". Previously he drove tractors, and today works as a driver. During the harvest campaign he switches behind the combine's wheel. It is admitted that his goal was never to be first; he simply worked. After all, during hot times of harvest, for the baker, the main thing is to harvest grain promptly.

According to the director of JSC "Maslako", Victor Zylenkov became the best in the region thanks to his diligence, responsibility, persistence, diligence, equipment reliability which he well prepared. "Victor Zylenkov's high achievement is also the merit of our entire labor collective. If there had not been a good wheat and rapeseed harvest grown, such a result would not have happened," notes Mikhail Viktorovich.

Meanwhile, the entire volume of work was completed by the farm mechanizers without involving city helpers. For the first time several bakers immediately became two-thousand-harvesters, and Victor Zylenkov approached the three-thousand mark and became the leader among the region's combines operators. On a record day he threshed 125 tons.

In response to the question about whether mechanizers are friends with each other at the height of struggle—colleagues or competitors—Victor Mikhailovich answers with a smile: "Of course, competitors. But in rural labor one friend does not prevent another. We all work for the common result of the farm, but at the same time everyone strives to show maximum effort and not fall behind their neighbor on the field." In this competition lies a special excitement of the harvest, its labor energy and that very spirit of harvest, which only heroes of the breadland understand. According to our interlocutor, light suffering does not exist. Regardless of weather and harvest, the harvest always demands complete self-sacrifice from early morning until late evening.

Victor Zylenkov speaks about his formula for success thus: "One must try. Harvest the crop promptly, so the country has bread. The combine loves care. Therefore carefully watch over the equipment and thoroughly maintain it so it does not break down. If you stand at repairs, nothing will be threshed."

Viktor Zylenkov's KZS-1218 combine harvester is specially decorated in the Year of the Belarusian Woman with a large banner that he ordered online and placed on the bunker. "There's no grand idea behind it – I just wanted to add something warm and lively to everyday life," our hero adds, proud that his native farm and his labor will be recognized in one of the main grain-growing categories.
