Tickets for popular flights sell out in minutes. But often people return them – change plans, reschedule trips. Before, one had to manually check the app in hopes of getting a seat. Now the system does this. How does it work?
The "Atlasbas" service told that for authorized users, a "Catch Ticket" button appeared on the flight card. One press – and the screen shows a status indicating that the passenger has been added to the waiting list.
The algorithm continuously monitors the needed bus. As soon as someone else submits a ticket or seats are redistributed, the service instantly responds and sends a push notification to the smartphone of anyone on the waiting list. The message immediately includes the route, date, time, and the coveted link. By following it, the passenger goes through the normal booking process and purchases the ticket as usual.
To make all this work correctly, reasonable limitations have been introduced. A passenger can subscribe to tracking for no more than three flights at once. If tickets appear for a flight then disappear, the passenger will receive no more than one notification per hour. At the same time, the subscription itself is multi-purpose and remains active until there is a need for it.
To receive notifications, the passenger must enable consent for this in their personal account under the "Settings" section.
In the personal account's "Active Trips" section, passengers can see all flights they are monitoring as well as a limit counter. If plans change, they can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any moment directly from this section or from the flight card itself. The system knows how to automatically cancel subscriptions. The helper will stop sending signals if the passenger has already bought a ticket for the tracked flight, or if the departure time has passed or the trip was cancelled by the carrier for some reason.
