Customs officials have uncovered another attempt to conceal goods from control. This time, a Belarusian citizen was driving a Peugeot from Poland through the "Bruzgi" checkpoint and tried to hide goods worth more than 4,000 rubles.

To cross the border, the man chose the green corridor, thereby confirming that he had no goods requiring declaration.

In fact, Grodno customs officers found automobile spare parts, cosmetic products, and other items in the car's interior and its hollow spaces.

The concealed goods and the 2011-model car have been seized pending a court decision.

The Grodno Regional Customs has issued a decision to impose an administrative penalty under Part 4 of Article 15.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. Furthermore, administrative proceedings have been initiated against the driver under Part 2 of Article 15.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, which provides for, among other things, the possible confiscation of the goods and the vehicle.
