The State Committee on Property explained that Belarusians can only use land in agreement with their neighbor.
The committee emphasized that in Belarus it is prohibited to independently alter the established boundary of a land plot. This boundary is determined not by a fence, but by land‑surveying documentation and the coordinates of turning points.
It is forbidden to move boundary markers, shift a fence beyond the established boundary, or attach part of a neighboring or free land plot, the press service listed.
The State Committee on Property also clarified that Belarusians cannot even adjust the boundary of a plot “in agreement with a neighbor.” For this, the necessary documents must be prepared.
If it seems that the boundary has been set incorrectly, one must consult specialists, the committee stated.
If a change of the land plot boundary is required, everything must be carried out in accordance with the law and the necessary documents must be prepared.
