The head of state was briefed on the completion of the grain harvest, the sowing of winter crops, and the storage of products from the new harvest into stabilization funds. The head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry reported that grain and leguminous crops have been harvested from 99.8% of the area. More than 9.1 million tons of grain have been threshed, including rapeseed.
For next year's harvest, winter grain crops need to be sown on an area of 1.5 million hectares, along with more than 450 thousand hectares of winter rapeseed. The sowing of winter crops is now in an active phase, with the task set to complete it by October 5 at the latest.
Alexander Lukashenko paid special attention to the removal of straw from the fields, ensuring the necessary timelines and quality of soil plowing while adhering to all technologies. At the same time, farmers have begun harvesting vegetables, including potatoes and sugar beets.
The head of state inquired about the progress of storing the vegetable harvest in stabilization funds. The state order must be fully completed by November 15. The minister assured that this would be done on time.
