– From October 12 to 16, comprehensive exercises involving command bodies and forces of the Grodno territorial subsystem of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense will be held in the district. Services expect sudden readiness checks to operate as a single mechanism. All inputs will be purely of a training nature.

The purpose of the exercises is to improve skills in eliminating emergencies of natural and man-made origin, to practice interaction and to practically test civil defense plans. The result will be an assessment of the work of all involved services.

During the exercises, the activation of electronic sirens and the deployment of emergency services are possible. Residents of Lida region are asked not to worry and to be understanding: readiness determines safety and the effectiveness of protection in real threats.

The briefing ended with an announcement of an important event. This week, a Unified Information Day will be held in work collectives. The main topic of discussion is “Traditional Belarusian values: family, society, state.”
