Brest customs officers at the "Kozlovichi" checkpoint detected an attempt to illegally import a large batch of auto parts into the Eurasian Economic Union. The cargo, part of which was not declared in the accompanying documents, was being transported from France in a DAF truck belonging to a Polish carrier.

A discrepancy between the actual goods and those declared was identified using an inspection and screening complex.

Further examination confirmed that over 2,000 units of goods were being illegally imported.

The value of the "undeclared" batch exceeded 200,000 rubles, and the amount of customs payments due for it was over 50,000 rubles.

The Brest Customs House has initiated an administrative process in accordance with Article 15.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus. The article provides for a fine of up to 30% of the value of the subject of the administrative offense.

The missing payments will also have to be settled.
