In Gomel, the republican industry holiday 'Dazhynki–2026' took place, bringing together specialists from the fuel and energy and agro-industrial complexes from across the country.

The festive program began long before today in the agro-town of Danilovichi in Vetkovsky District, based at the 'Agrofirm named after Lebedev' branch of RUP 'Gomelenergo'. There, guests familiarized themselves with an exhibition-fair, visited a dairy livestock farm and a new residential complex for enterprise employees. The culmination of the day was a solemn ceremony honoring the harvest campaign's frontrunners at the Gomel City Cultural Center.

Representatives of the republic's energy and gas sectors annually make a tangible contribution to strengthening the country's agricultural sector. Subdivisions within the structure of the Ministry of Energy ensure stable operation of agricultural branches, achieving high results in crop farming and livestock breeding. Awards for professionalism, steadfastness, and devotion to the native land were presented to workers by the heads of the departments and the region.

For many years of conscientious work and significant personal contribution to the development of agricultural production, deserved awards were received and presented by representatives of Gomel Region. The Ministry of Energy's Letter of Appreciation was awarded to the General Director of RUP 'Gomelenergo', Mikhail Kovalenko.

The importance of overall unity and support for the agricultural branches of the energy system was emphasized by the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus, Denis Moroz: – State security cannot be measured by a single parameter, for example, energy. One of the key priorities is forming food security. It is impossible to ensure food security if we do not have a reliable and strong agriculture. We, as energy specialists, assist enterprises physically, financially, and organizationally, which yields positive results. No matter what facilities we build, they will not work if people are not working the land.

The connection between the successes of farmers and the development of the regional economy was noted by Mikhail Akunets, Chairman of the Economy Committee of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee: – I sincerely congratulate you on the harvest festival! For us, it is a great honor that the industry-wide republican event is taking place here, on the hospitable Gomel soil. I would like to express my gratitude for your contribution both to the loaf of the Gomel Region and to the loaf of the country as a whole.
