Preparation for the heating season is not just filling systems with water, but a large-scale safety exam. In Belarus, the campaign to prepare for the autumn-winter period is in full swing. Reported by the telegram channel "МЧС Беларуси".

The main controller of industrial safety of the country's heat sources traditionally is the Department for Safe Conduct of Works in Industry of the МЧС Республики Беларусь.

Department inspectors assess the readiness of boilers with a capacity of more than 200 kW. Without their positive conclusion, no major heat source is entitled to obtain a winter readiness passport.

What inspectors check this year:

• technical condition: reliability of boiler operation, serviceability of safety automation, regulation and alarm systems;
• documentation: availability of licenses, maintenance contracts, results of technical diagnostics of equipment with expired service life;
• personnel readiness: completion of training, knowledge check on industrial safety issues and readiness to act in emergency situations.

This year, 5,215 boilers with a total capacity exceeding 200 kilowatts each are subject to readiness assessment for the autumn-winter period, and already more than 5,000 have been inspected and are ready for the upcoming season.

Important reminder for business entities: all defects identified by inspectors must be eliminated immediately. Violation of the rules for preparation and operation of heat sources entails strict administrative liability!
