Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko intends to organize a large-scale review before the end of the current year and assess the current results of tourism industry development in the republic. This information was shared on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel by the Head of the Presidential Administration, Dmitry Kruтов.

"An interesting direction, I think, will be events related to (perhaps summing up – that's a strong word) a kind of tourism control cut," said Dmitry Kruтов.

He also noted that the tourism industry has been assigned an important role in the state program for socio-economic development of Belarus for the five-year period from 2026 to 2030. The sector has been set a strategic goal – to double the share of tourism in the formation of the country's gross domestic product.

"We are still working out options with the President on where and how. But a major discussion on tourism will definitely be held," noted the Head of the Presidential Administration.
