Logistics plays the most important role in the financial system of any state. Reliable delivery, security, and handling of money notes constitute the invisible foundation upon which the stability of the entire economy rests.
Only relatively recently, until 2018, each major Belarusian bank operated its own cash‑in‑transit service. But the demands of time changed, and a unified solution was needed to improve the entire cash circulation system. On March 30, 2018, the company received state registration at the National Bank: OJSC “NKFO Belinkasgroup.” The main task of the young holding was to consolidate the material‑technical base of its founders – the National Bank, “Belarusbank,” and “Belagroprombank.” In summer 2023, by Presidential Decree No. 225, cash‑in‑transit and transport of valuables were assigned to the exclusive prerogative of the state. From January 1, 2024, “Belinkasgroup” became the single state operator in this strategic field.
Today the company has a developed network of 28 units. One of them is Regional Management No. 22 in the city of Zhlyobin. Its area of responsibility is enormous: cash and cash‑in‑transit services for the Zhlyobin, Svetlogorsk, Rogachyov, and Kormyansky districts. Just consider these numbers: under the care of the Zhlyobin management are 97 self‑service devices (ATMs and info kiosks), 51 bank branches, and 445 trade and service outlets!
As Regional Management head Mikhail Stepanovich notes, this continuous flow of money is ensured by a workforce of 56 people, whose core are cashiers and cash‑in‑transit officers. The professional requirements here
The entire shift takes place in protective gear. A bulletproof vest, radio station, tablet, video recorder, and standard-issue firearm – this "kit" weighs a considerable amount and creates an enormous physical strain. Meanwhile, specialists at the duty station in Zhlobin and at the unified monitoring center in Minsk track the movement of each vehicle online.
However, the main challenge is not even the heavy equipment, but the meticulous work with ATMs and info kiosks. A modern self-service device is a complex computer system. The cashier must strictly follow a rigid protocol: perform operations, test the system, and correctly enter data. To automate these actions, new employees train on special training ATMs – such simulators are available in each company division.
No less responsibility rests on the shoulders of cash handlers, whose work is hidden from the public eye. They prepare cash and load it into cassettes for ATMs, unload money from info kiosks, form bags for banks, and count store revenue. Enormous sums, including foreign currency, pass through the hands of regional management cashiers every day. Each banknote must be carefully checked for authenticity using special devices. Mistakes are simply not allowed here.
By performing this difficult and seemingly invisible work, the team of OAO "NKFO "Belinkasgroup" solves a crucial state task – helps the National Bank maintain the entire country's cash turnover around the clock and without interruptions.
In 2024, the regional management No. 22 in Zhlobin was recognized as the best in the republic in its group.
