The director of BelGee CJSC shared how many cars the plant has produced since its launch, recalled the modernization of the enterprise, and revealed some details about the development of the model lineup.

Over 8 months of 2026, BelGee CJSC produced 73,673 vehicles worth 3,856.5 million rubles. 42,147 vehicles worth $690 million were sold for export. On the domestic market — 32,916 units worth 1,930 million rubles.

"Today at BelGee, parallel design and construction of a welding shop, a stamping shop, as well as engineering infrastructure with modernization are underway. The total building area exceeds 30,000 sq. m. At the construction site, work is being carried out on the installation of metal structures for building frames, external engineering networks, and the construction of foundations for technological equipment. Roofing installation work has begun.

The full completion of construction and installation works at the facility is planned by the end of 2027," reports the Telegram channel "Government of Belarus."

— The plant turns 8 years old this year; it was put into operation in 2018. During this time, more than 400,000 cars have been produced, of which more than 100,000 have been sold in our country, — said Gennady Svidersky, director of BelGee CJSC, at a meeting with journalists during Prime Minister Alexander Turchin's visit to the plant.

— We are constantly engaged in renewal, modernization, and reconstruction. Last year we carried out the modernization of the painting shop. And if the design capacity in 2018 was 60,000 cars under a two-shift operation, now this capacity at the painting shop has doubled, that is, it is now 120,000 cars, — reminded the head of the enterprise.

— Now the most modern technology is being used, the so-called "wet-on-wet." One of the drying operations has been eliminated, which, on the one hand, resulted in energy savings, and on the other — increased productivity. In order to balance these capacities, the welding shop was reconstructed.

Gennady Svidersky cited a few more figures. If in 2018 everything started with 35 robots, then after last year's reconstruction, their number reached 70 units.

— This year we began construction of a stamping production facility. Our country is focused on mechanical engineering, but there is no such automated stamping production for large-sized parts anywhere else.

As is known, the most popular model produced at Belgee is the X50+ crossover, which has remained the leader of the Belarusian market for two consecutive months. But the plant is not forgetting about other projects either.

— There is a new model called Cityray, which we plan to put on the conveyor within this year or early next year. Right now it involves large-unit assembly, but tooling is being manufactured, — said Gennady Svidersky. He clarified that Cityray is based on the new 3.0 platform, which underpins a modern lineup of passenger cars. The same platform is used by the Belgee X80 hybrid. Noting the popularity of this model, Gennady Svidersky stated that plans are in place to develop localization and increase production volumes of such vehicles.
