The director of CJSC Belgee told how many cars the plant has produced since its launch, reminded about the modernization of the enterprise, and revealed some details about the development of the model range.

In 8 months of 2026, CJSC Belgee produced 73,673 cars worth 3,856.5 million rubles. Exports totaled 42,147 cars worth $690 million. On the domestic market — 32,916 units worth 1,930 million rubles.

“Today at Belgee, parallel design and construction of a welding shop, a stamping shop, as well as engineering infrastructure with modernization is underway. The total building area is more than 30,000 square meters. At the construction site, work is being carried out on the installation of metal structures of building frames, external utility networks, and the construction of foundations for technological equipment. Work on roof installation has begun.

Full completion of construction and installation work at the facility is planned by the end of 2027,” the Telegram channel “Government of Belarus” reports.

“The plant turns 8 this year; it was put into operation in 2018. During this time, more than 400,000 cars have been produced, of which more than 100,000 were sold in our country,” said the director of CJSC Belgee, Gennady Svidersky, at a meeting with journalists during a visit to the plant by Prime Minister Alexander Turchin.

“We are constantly engaged in renewal, modernization, and reconstruction. Last year we modernized the paint shop. And if the design capacity in 2018 was 60,000 cars with a two-shift operation, now this capacity for the paint shop has been doubled, that is, now it is 120,000 cars,” the head of the enterprise reminded.

“Now the most modern technology is used, the so-called ‘wet-on-wet’. One of the drying operations has been eliminated, which gave us, on the one hand, energy savings, and on the other, increased productivity. In order to balance these capacities, the welding shop was reconstructed.”

Gennady Svidersky cited a few more figures. If in 2018 everything started with 35 robots, then after reconstruction last year their number reached 70.

“This year we started construction of stamping production. Our country is a machine-building country, but there is no such automated stamping production of large-sized parts anywhere.”

As is known, the most popular model produced at Belgee is the X50+ crossover, which has been the leader of the Belarusian market for two months in a row. But the factory does not forget about other projects.

— There is a new model, Cityray, which we plan to put on the assembly line during this year or early next year. Currently it is large-knockdown assembly, but tooling is being manufactured, — said Gennady Svidersky. He clarified that Cityray is based on the new 3.0 platform, on which the modern line of passenger cars is built. The Belgee X80 hybrid also uses it. Noting the popularity of this model, Gennady Svidersky stated that it is planned to develop localization and increase production volumes of such cars.
